Shipping Policy


Kumo Carbon ("we" and "us") operates (https://kumocarbon.com/) ("Website"). By making a purchase through this Website, you agree to the terms outlined below. These terms ensure clarity and agreement between both parties, setting expectations for our service and protecting all involved.

 

1. General

Stock availability is subject to change. We strive to keep our stock counts accurate, but on occasion, discrepancies may occur. If any items in your order are unavailable at the time of purchase, we will ship the available items and contact you regarding whether you’d like to wait for restocking or prefer a refund for the out-of-stock product.

 

2. Shipping costs

Shipping fees are determined during checkout based on the weight, size, and destination of the items. The shipping charge will be collected at the time of purchase and will represent the final cost of shipping to the customer.

 

3. Returns

3.1 Returns Due to Change of Mind

Kumo Carbon accepts returns for change of mind, provided that a return request is submitted within 30 days of receiving the item. The item must be returned in its original packaging, unused, and in a resalable condition.

The cost of return shipping will be borne by the customer, who must also arrange their own shipping.

Once we receive and approve the returned item, a store credit refund will be issued. You will receive an email notification upon completion of this process.

Kumo Carbon will refund the value of the returned product but will NOT refund any shipping costs paid.

 

3.2 Warranty Returns

Kumo Carbon honors all valid warranty claims, provided they are made within 180 days of receiving the item.

Customers must pre-pay for return shipping, but we will reimburse the cost once the warranty claim is successfully processed.

Upon receiving the returned product, Kumo Carbon will review and process the claim within 7 days. If approved, customers will have the option of:

(a) A refund to the original payment method
(b) Store credit for future purchases
(c) A replacement item (subject to stock availability)


3.3 Warranty Conditions

For warranty claims, the following conditions must be met:

- The product was installed correctly by an authorised KUMO fitting partner.
- The defect is due to manufacturing and not installation issues.
- The issue is not caused by prior damage (e.g., stone chips, scratches, accidents, etc.).
- The item is a genuine KUMO CARBON product.


4. Delivery Terms

4.1 Domestic Transit Time

Domestic shipments typically arrive within 2 - 5 business days.

4.2 European and international Transit Time

European shipments typically arrive within 2 - 5 business days.

International orders usually take between 7 - 21 business days, depending on the selected courier. More precise estimates are available during checkout.

Disclaimer: Our delivery times for domestic, European and international orders are based on logistics estimates. While we strive to meet them, occasional delays may occur.

4.3 Dispatch Times

Your parcel will be shipped as fast as possible. Our warehouse operates Monday - Friday during standard business hours, excluding public holidays. In cases of holiday closures, we take measures to minimize shipping delays.

4.4 Address Changes

Customers may request a change of delivery address any time before the order is shipped.

4.5 P.O. Box Shipping

Kumo Carbon ships to P.O. boxes via postal services only. Courier services are NOT available for P.O. boxes.

4.6 Out-of-Stock Items

If an item is out of stock, we will hold the order until it is available for shipping. All in-stock items will be reserved until the order is complete.

4.7 Delayed Deliveries

If your order has exceeded the estimated delivery time, please contact us for further investigation.


5. Tracking Notifications

Once dispatched, customers will receive a tracking link to monitor the shipment's progress through the courier’s latest updates.


6. Parcels Damaged in Transit

If a parcel arrives damaged, please reject it upon delivery and notify our customer support team at info@kumocarbon.com. If you contact our customer support team if you receive a damaged package while absent, contact us for further assistance. 

Any damage upon delivery must be reported with evidence on the same day or within 24 hours of receipt in order to be eligible for a refund. 

 

7. Duties & Taxes

7.1 Sales Tax

The prices displayed on the Website already include applicable sales tax for EU customers. For international customers, prices displayed on the Website don't include applicable sales tax as international shipments may be subject to import duties and taxes.

7.2 Import Duties & Taxes

International shipments may be subject to import duties and taxes upon arrival in the destination country. These charges vary by country, and Kumo Carbon advises customers to check potential costs before placing an order.

If a customer refuses to pay import duties and taxes, the goods will be returned to Kumo Carbon at the customer's expense. A refund will be issued for the product’s value minus return shipping costs. Initial shipping costs will NOT be refunded.

7.3 UK Customers & Brexit-Related Tax Changes

For UK customers, the prices displayed on the website and in the cart will be excluding VAT. However, UK import VAT, duties and handling fees may apply before delivery. The customer will be responsible to pay all costs associated with importing the products.

If you are unsure about these charges, we recommend consulting your local customs authorities before making a purchase.


8. Cancellations

Customers can cancel an order at any time before dispatch. If an order has already been shipped, please refer to our return policy.


9. Insurance

All shipments are insured for loss and damage up to the coverage provided by the courier.

9.1 Damaged Parcels

Refunds or replacements will be processed once the courier completes its investigation into a damaged parcel claim.

9.2 Lost Parcels

If a package is declared lost by the courier, we will process a refund or replacement after the completion of their investigation.
